From the Atacama Desert to Skilled Mechanics: One Full Class, 20 Mothers. Fund
In northern Chile’s Atacama Desert, the mining industry drives growth—but access to skilled employment doesn’t reach everyone equally.
At SoyMás Foundation, we’re launching a new initiative to break the cycle of poverty by training 20 young mothers as industrial mechanics, aligned directly with the needs of the mining and copper sector in Antofagasta.
$2,500 trains one mother (10 months program)
$50,000 funds one full class
Eligible for employer matching and corporate ESG programs
This is not charity.
It’s local talent development, gender inclusion, and long-term workforce resilience in one of the world’s toughest environments to live and raise a family.
If you work in mining, engineering, energy, or supply chains—and your company uses corporate giving platforms—your support can create real, measurable impact.
