Survival International has campaigned for the rights of Indigenous peoples since 1969. We stand alongside Indigenous peoples for the rights to ownership of their land and self-determination. We work with Indigenous peoples to stop the theft and destruction of the lands that they rely on for food, water, housing, medicine and much more. We raise awareness and pressure governments and large corporations to halt profit-driven activities of resource extraction and exploitation. We seek to dismantle the racist and colonialist stereotyping that is used to justify forces that for decades have taken Indigenous lands in the name of conservation. We are a driven team united by a deep and shared commitment to Indigenous peoples’ rights.
